These nipples, purchased as a group of three, are a very important part part of my \"supplies\" box for my Berdan Sharps Military Rifle. I have found over the years that the nipples do \"wear out\" a bit after many rounds have been fired. The indicator of this wear for me is when the musket caps stick on the nipple after firing. They often can get difficult to remove. A changing out of the nipple solves the problem, so it is good to carry spares. the price was right too!
