WOW, Pedersoli has done a wonderful work with this rifle. It is fun to shoot and very accurate. It is very light and very strongly built. This gun is indeed a credit to Pedersoli and is a fin example of good workmanship and professionalism. Congratulations Pedersoli on this achievement.

I wanted a good lever action in 45=70 Govt. that held 5 rounds and was in the western fashion yet modern and this gun is perfect for me. I also like that it is called Shadow like my Motorcycle. It works excellently and is of obvious high quality and workmanship that you can see and feel. It did have a lot of rust inside the barrel and breach and in the "nooks and cranies" which I was disappointed about but after a few hours of cleaning and disassembly, a touch of gun blue and a good inspection there was no pitting but after all, it came to Canada all the way from Beautiful Italy and then when I purchased it from Cabela's, it traveled another 3,150 km from the store to my home. I Love it!

Thank you for the preference you had purchasing our 86/71 Lever Action Boarbuster Shadow model.
We appreciate your kind words and are glad it is making a nice pairing with your Shadow motocycle.
We have to reassure you that it was not rust what was dirting the cleaning patches. It's the greasy oil we spray all over the gun and inside the barrel before packing, to ensure the rifle is protected for a long time.
Unfortunately it has that reddish colour, which can be interpreted as rust, but this is not the case.
We know it takes some extra patches to clean the barrel well, this can be a nuissance for our customers to deal with, we regret it, but it is for a good cause.
